In some industries, the benefit or popularity of a newly developed item rapidly replaces the existing one. It is hard to imagine, for example, a randomized trial comparing the usability of a smart phone to a regular cell phone or a comfort and speed of a new car model compared to an older one. Changes in these customer-based industries occur rather rapidly and assertively as new technologies replace older ones.},
