Ary Serpa Neto, MD, MSc, PhD

Ary Serpa Neto is a physician and researcher from São Paulo, Brazil. He went to medical school at Faculdade de Medicina do ABC, developing a special interest in Critical Care. At the same university, he completed his medical residency in Internal Medicine and master's degree in Health Sciences. Subsequently, he graduated as intensivist at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein while pursuing a PhD in Pulmonology at Universidade de São Paulo. Dr. Serpa Neto then joined University of Amsterdam as postdoctoral fellow, where he also pursued his second PhD, graduating cum laude in Intensive Care and Anesthesiology. He is now back at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, working as a physician in the Department of Critical Care and as a researcher at Instituto Israelita de Ensino e Pesquisa.
