Arman Kilic, MD

Dr. Kilic obtained his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins University and his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a practicing adult cardiac surgeon with a clinical focus on coronary revascularization, valvular disease, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation. His academic focus is on artificial intelligence and machine learning as it applies to cardiac surgery. He has several active grants and has authored over 150 manuscripts and 14 book chapters. He serves as Director of Surgical Quality and Analytics and Co-Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Outcomes and Innovation at the University of Pittsburgh. He serves as reviewer for several journals including the Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Circulation, the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the Journal of the American Heart Association, Journal of Cardiac Failure, Journal of Cardiac Surgery, and the Journal of Heart Valve Disease. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, the American Heart Association, and the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association.
