Sehoon Choi, MD, PhD

Dr. Choi graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and received training in the department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Seoul National University Hospital. After completing a fellowship in general thoracic surgery at Seoul National University Hospital, he joined as the faculty of Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine. Between 2015 and 2016, He was a visiting scholar at Stanford University Hospital under Professor Joseph Shrager. Currently, Dr. Choi is Associate professor at Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Asan Medical Center.

He is a board Certificated Surgeon of Korean Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and Korean Association for Thoracic Surgical Oncology.

His major research and clinical interests are minimally invasive surgery including VATS and sub-lobar resection of lung cancer, lung transplantation, and pediatric thoracic disease.
