Abstract
Neoangiogenesis is one of the major hallmarks of cancer (1). New vessels are constantly growing from existing cells and provide nutrients and oxygen to cancer cells. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is the main inducer of angiogenesis. VEGF binds mainly to VEGF-receptor 2 (VEGFR-2).
