Perspectives on the effect of nodal downstaging and its implication of the role of surgery in stage IIIA (N2) non-small cell lung cancer
Abstract
Lymph node involvement is the most important factor affecting the prognosis and treatment of patients with potentially resectable lung cancer. N2 disease consists of patients with mediastinal disease ipsilateral side to the primary tumor, categorized as Stage IIIA for T1-3 patients.
