Abstract

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States (1). Early stage (T1–T2N0) nonsmall cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) accounts for 16% of new diagnoses, a proportion that is expected to rise with the implementation of low-dose CT screening programs (2).
