Spontaneous coronary artery dissection: the great pretender
Abstract
We read with great interest the recent publication by Alfonso et al. (1) published in the July 2018 issue of Journal of Thoracic Disease. Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) usually affects young and otherwise healthy women, mainly in the postpartum period. Incidence rates from 0.2% to 1.1% are reported (1,2).
