Recurrent spontaneous pneumomediastinum: a rare but possible event!: Erratum
In the article that appeared on page 431 of the August 2012 issue of the Journal of Thoracic Disease, there were errors in the Abstract and Key words. The correct abstract is “Recurrent spontaneous pneumomediastinum is an exceptional event and litle is known about it. We report an exceptional case of patient who presents with early recurrence of spontaneous pneumomediastinum following a spasm of coughing and in absence of any predisposing factors. The episodes of pneumomediastinum were elicited by recurrent episode of coughing and resolved with medical treatment. Despite rare, recurrence of spontaneous pneumomediastinum is a possible event which may occur in patients without predisposing factors.” The correct Key words are “Pneumomediastinum; recurrent; spontaneou”. The publisher regrets these errors.
