The article “Coronary artery bypass grafting vs. drug-eluting stent implantation: the probabilities of reintervention, transition to severe care-need, nursing home, and death in patients with coronary artery disease within the first three years: evaluations based on health claims data in Germany” (1) published in Vol 16, No 8 (August 2024) issue of Journal of Thoracic Disease has been retracted due to severe errors that invalidate the conclusions resulting from incorrect data processing.

In order to correct this serious mistake, after discussion, all authors agree to retract this paper and understand and appreciate the journal’s retraction policy.
